Harness the power of technology and AI as a competitive advantage.
For a long time now, I have toyed with the idea of starting my own business. Over the last few years, I have had the privilege of helping several great startups along their journeys at various stages. Now, the moment has arrived.
Throughout my career, my passion has been linking technology to business needs and helping companies to thrive and create more value for their customers. I love looking at complex challenges, simplifying them to something that can be written down and done, and then breaking that down into a plan. Over the years, I have loved working in the consulting and systems design spaces, and I see a huge need for that right now as we all grapple with how to adopt AI.
AI is everywhere right now. I was just at Web Summit here in Vancouver the week before last, and it reminded me so much of the computer shows of the early 2000s when "the Internet" was everywhere. I remember so many people starting new Internet businesses. Many were part of the hype cycle, but at the same time, those that remained and evolved have transformed how we live and work beyond recognition. I also remember at the very start of my career working on systems design. Many of the companies that I worked with at that time were installing their very first server or digitizing aspects of their business for the very first time.
Across all three of these transition points—adopting computer technology, the Internet, and now AI—what's really happening is a step change in how we approach our work. The technology makes it possible, but making a successful transition through the inflection point is mostly about rethinking workflow, rethinking customer needs, and applying technology to evolve your business and make a step change in the value that you are able to create.
This is where I'd like to help. When you're very busy running your business, the pace at which tools and technologies are becoming available is dizzying. While you know that there is opportunity to evolve, how do you find the time to do so?
Let me partner with you to develop a vision for what your business can become and a roadmap to get there from both a people and a technology point of view. If you're a team within an enterprise, I can help you to work with the tools that are already in your technology stack or on the roadmap. If you're a smaller business, I have a great network of partners I can work with or recommend to get you what you need in terms of implementation.
Check out my new website www.cypress-falls.com. Thoughts, feedback, and ideas always greatly appreciated!
And do please reach out if you're at all interested in a conversation. I'm really interested to hear about what you're thinking and what you are up to with technology in your business, even if there's nothing that's an immediate fit.
